French language courses for teenagers on the Côte d’Azur – Nice 2012

Dear Parents,

We have now been coordinating French language courses for teenagers in the beautiful French coastal resort of Nice for over 18 years. These courses, designed for pupils aged 15-18, are well-organised and carefully supervised, and aim to enable your child to perfect their French whilst enjoying a few weeks of the school holidays at the seaside. We are one of the few quality service providers with clients all over the world, leading to a great mix of nationalities at our school. Your child will not only learn to speak fluent French, but also will get to know other young people of a similar age from all over Europe and beyond. This international exchange will really broaden their horizons and create friendships for life. Many of our young students come back to us year after year to get to know France and the French language.

Our language school is located in the centre of Nice, surrounded by shops and cafés. Our teachers have all been specially trained in teaching their mother tongue (French) as a foreign language. Teachers speak solely in French to the pupils, and the classes have been designed so as to allow all pupils, even complete beginners, to understand the teacher right from the start. This works on the same principle as the way babies and small children understand their mothers without knowing the meaning of each word. This method is called the Direct Method and is recommended by the EU. In the afternoons and evenings, our group leaders organise the fantastic LISA! Activity Programme for all participants. We teach students with a wide range of abilities; students already receiving good marks at school will be further challenged and encouraged to really excel, while students having difficulties will be encouraged into reaching their full potential. By coming to France to learn French, your child will get a real feel for the language and culture. Without even noticing it, their French will improve dramatically during their time here, thanks to both classes and the range of incredible activities and outings we organise.

Italian language courses in Tuscany for 14 – 17 year olds

We’ve been organising language courses for teenagers in the beautiful Tuscan city of Florence for 18 years now. During this time we have always insisted on top-notch quality, perfect organisation and providing guidance and support for our young learners, while making sure they have a great time and learn as much as possible. On a LISA! language course, your child will perfect their Italian skills whilst spending the summer with other young people from all over Europe. This international exchange will really broaden their horizons and create friendships for life. Many of our young students come back to us year after year to get to know Italy and the Italian language.

Our language school is located right in the centre of Florence, not too far from the towering Santa Maria cathedral. Our modern course structure follows the EU-recommended Direct Method, according to which pupils are taught exclusively in the target language by a native speaker of Italian. Even students with little or no prior knowledge of Italian begin to understand right from the start what their teacher is saying, and in just a few weeks they’ll be chatting away in Italian themselves and able to use and understand the language in everyday situations.

In the afternoons and evenings, our group leaders organise the fantastic LISA! Activity Programme for all participants. We teach students with a wide range of abilities; students already receiving good marks at school will be further challenged and encouraged to really excel, while students having difficulties will be encouraged into reaching their full potential. By coming to Italy to learn Italian, your child will get a real feel for the language and culture. Without even noticing it, their Italian will improve dramatically during their time here, thanks to both classes and the range of incredible activities and outings we organise.

How much does an Italian course with accommodation in a host family with full board (FB) cost?

1 week:  £ 634

These prices are for a Standard Course (20 group lessons per week) in summer or autumn. For more detailed prices please see our website.

Teenage language courses in Florence begin on the following dates in 2012:

Summer: 02.07.; 09.07.; 16.07.; 23.07.; 30.07.; 06.08.; 13.08.; 20.08.; 27.08.; 03.09.; 10.09.; 17.09. End of course: 21.09.
Autumn: 29.10.; 05.11.; 12.11.; 19.11. End of course: 23.11.

Arrival and departure take place on Sunday and Saturday respectively. Prices include free return transfers between Florence airport or train station and the accommodation.
The price does not include flights, but many UK airports fly to Florence. We would be happy to advise you on flights and airlines.
