Language courses for Teenagers aged 13 – 17 in Barcelona

Dear Parents,

We have been organising language courses in Barcelona for 18 years now, and are proud to be one of the few providers sending students from all over the world to learn Spanish here. This means that, not only will your children learn to speak fluent Spanish with us, but they will also make friends with other young people of a similar age from all parts of Europe and the world. This international exchange really helps teenagers to gain a wider perspective on life and broadens their horizons, opening them up to other cultures and forming lifelong friendships. Many of our young language learners come back year after year.

In Barcelona we have four different options for our teenage students: alongside the Spanish language classes, students can choose from the following leisure programmes: Flamenco/ Salsa dancing, Windsurfing, Beach Sports (volleyball and tennis) or opt for our special Spanish and Football programme (this last one is only available in July). In addition to these options, all students will get to take part in the brilliant LISA! Activity Programme consisting of museums visits, guided tours of the city, discos, parties and trips to the Port Aventura amusement park.

Our language school in Barcelona is located right in the city centre, surrounded by countless shops, cafés and traditional tapas bars. Our up-to-date courses use the Direct Method recommended by the EU, where classes are held exclusively in the foreign language by a native speaker. This method will allow your child to speak Spanish fluently in just a few short weeks. Your child will be able to understand the teacher right from the beginning, without a word of English being spoken. We organise a fun-packed activity programme in the afternoons and evenings, led by the LISA! team leaders, to encourage all participants to get to know each other and have a great time during their stay with us. High-achieving pupils will be further encouraged towards excellence, while pupils experiencing difficulties at school will be brought to a level upon which they can build in the future to get good marks. All pupils will be taught to know and love the Spanish language. Before your children know it, they’ll soon be speaking fluently. Just as important as classes are the extra-curricular activities we arrange on site as part of the package: trips, sports and parties make sure that everyone has fun while still speaking Spanish the whole time.

Outbound travel day: Sunday
Return travel day: Saturday

The price of a language course does not include flights, but we would advise booking a flight for your child to Barcelona airport. Many airlines have direct flights to Barcelona from various UK airports, including London Gatwick, Stansted, East Midlands, Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds Bradford, Newcastle and Cardiff. For advice on flights please contact us; we will be glad to help. Once arrived in Barcelona, your child will then be met at the airport and escorted to their accommodation by a member of our team. This service is free of charge, provided arrival and departure take place during the allotted times (10 am – 8pm arrival; 10 am – 9 pm departure).
